The Hearts Wide Open Podcast, hosted by Dennis and Soroosh, brings authentic conversations on topics surrounding men's health and men's mental health to viewers and listeners all over the world. This men's health podcast serves as a safe space for men to open up about their stories, struggles and learnings. You're not alone. Listen to new episodes every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month anywhere you get your podcasts. Let's make our Hearts Wide Open!
No matter the age or gender, anyone can face mental health issues. Men can struggle too, but often try to tough it out by themselves or deny that there is an issue to begin with. Embarrassment and self-stigmatization are preventing men from seeking help or speaking to someone.
Ignoring or minimizing men's mental health can take a serious toll on their lives. That is why the Hearts Wide Open Podcast is creating a safe space for men to open up and learn that all humans can struggle and that they're not alone.
We're not alone, 77% of men say that they've experienced symptoms of negative mental health.
2 in 5 men say that they've never spoken to anyone about their mental health. This means that it is almost certain that you and/or multiple other men in your environment have never opened up about their mental health in any form.
29% of men say that they feel too embarrassed to speak about their mental health with their family, friends, colleagues, or a therapist. Let's show our fellow men that it is okay and welcome to open up.
1 in 5 men feel that there's a negative stigma around the topic of men's mental health. It can feel like a big burden to feel that one has to "man up", "figure it out" or "be strong", when sometimes it can be helpful for men to show weakness in order to get back emotional balance.

In this conversation we dive deep into the topic of support systems. We explore the journey of finding, defining, and utilizing your support system to navigate life's challenges.
For far too long, the stigma surrounding masculinity has pressured men to bear their burdens alone, to be strong without vulnerability. But the truth is, we all need support, especially during difficult times.
Soroosh takes the mic as he shares some of his summer reflections. We talk about being more present in the moment, reconnecting with loved ones after a long time apart, and the invaluable art of keeping a cool head when everything seems to go wrong.

Hearts Wide Open helped me realize that I want to be more in touch with myself. This will help me be more authentic and connect with others around me on a whole new level.

"I Can Buy Myself Flowers" made me aware that I rarely cherish myself for who I am. I couldn't stop thinking about this and so for the first time in a long time I took action to consciously appreciate myself. The topics Soroosh and Dennis talk about in their conversations are so relevant and really have an impact on my life.

The episode on vulnerability triggered a thought process in me and helped me understand that there can be strength in showing vulnerability and what that can mean for me. Keep blessing us with these thought-provoking episodes.
